Trying something new...

... I've not tried this style before, but it seems to be working ok I think! I've got another piece finished, which I'll post pictures of when I've turned it into a notebook. The second piece here, with the wee frog on it, is a little surprise to cheer up a forumite. Pretty random, but hopefully it will make her smile.

last weeks projects - unfinished

This is my work from last week - didn't get as much done in the studio as I had hoped as I had to have an exposed gas pipe concreted over!
I had been wheeling my little kiln in and out so much that the concrete floor had crumbled away!
This is a little tile with a windswept woman and below is a tile with the wind on it
These are some owl pendants that I am trying out. I made about 6 in total but the branches kept snapping off when I was finishing them off - must try and be less heavy handed!
The round shapes were supposed to be more buttons but they dried out so quickly didn't have a chance to put the holes in. I am going to use them as mosaic tiles instead!
The little hearts are going to be stud earrings.
There were one or two other small things that I made but they are a secret as one of them may be hedgies deathsweep prize - shhhhhhhh!

This is Hedgies toad house with the raw glaze on it.
When the other things come out of the kiln today - this will be going in with them to be glazed.
Hope the glaze comes out OK as I have spent ages looking for the right colour - sorry it's taken so long Hedgie!

Hello, this is my first post on this lovely blog...thank you Hedgie, and after three attempts to get the layout of this post right, I think I have finally got there! Phew!
I have created some new designs for Simply Stunning Invitations for 2009 and I thought I would share them with you on here.
The first new range is called Paradise, it is a bright and vibrant range and although essentially a wedding design, I think it would be perfect as a summer party invitation too.
The second is a range of pocketfold invitations and, as yet, does not have a name. Any suggestions are very welcome :)
......and finally, after a really good suggestion from Hezoid on the craftycnuts forum, I have added some handcrafted embellishments for sale on the website, pictures of those to follow soon !
Sweater from hell!
